Good morning everyone! The surgery was a success. The pain has been very limited so far. Before the surgery they gave me a double nerve block, one in my thigh and one next to my knee, I'm sure once that begins to wear off it will hurt more. I have gotten out of bed twice and walked around the room with assistance from a walker. They are supposed to pull the drain sometime this morning and physical therapy will begin. I feel amazing, like a million pounds have been lifted from my shoulders. Thank you for all your prayers and love you sent my way. I am truly touched and blessed.

So the phantom leg comes and goes. At one point last night I had an itch. My mind was sure the leg was still there. I slid my headphones on, listened to some Dirty Heads and told myself it was all in my head. Within a few minutes it had gone.

I have an amazing roommate Ed, with a fantastic outlook on life. There is no doubt he has a place in heaven with all he has done for his very large family. I wish him the best of luck on his road to recovery, and please send some prayers his way as well!

That's all for now, stay tuned!
